Thaçi and Pacolli meet the Vice President of South Sudan, Dr Riek Machar Teny27.09.2012
New York, 26 September 2012 The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Pacolli and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj met the Vice President of South Sudan, Dr Riek Machar Teny, with whom they discussed many issues.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi informed Vice President Teny about recent developments in the Republic of Kosovo, including political and economic reforms, and especially the successful conclusion of the supervision of independence.
The Republic of Kosovos goal and vision is integration into the EU and NATO and also the United Nations, so it is committed to working and undertaking all the steps necessary for achieving this vision, said Prime Minister Thaçi.
Prime Minister Thaçi asked the Vice President that South Sudan recognize, as quickly as possible, the Republic of Kosovo, as a step necessary to start building diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile during the meeting, the Vice President of South Sudan, Mr. Teny invited the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo to make an official visit to South Sudan, to discuss building bilateral relations between the two countries.
